Mr Play Casino Review
Welcome once again from me, Dave Monk, to another online casino review. I’m the resident expert here at FreeSpinsNoDepositNoWager.com, and I love finding new casinos with great bonus offers to let you know about. I love to play online slots in particular, but I’m also a stickler for high-quality casinos with great customer service. Let’s see how this one stacks up…
Now don’t get me wrong, I love a bit a facial hair as much as the next… man. But I’ve never been too sure about a waxed moustache (or moustache, if you prefer). The trouble with Mr Play is that I can’t get away from them – it’s not only the casino’s logo, but any human being that appears on their site (make or female) is wearing one. They all remind me of Hercule Poirot from those Agatha Christie movies.
So I’ve decided to get my own “little grey cells” into action and do some detective work of my own. What’s behind the coiffured ‘tache of Mr Play? Is it an excellent online casino, and do they have any tasty welcome bonuses I can share with you? Let’s find out…
Mr Play Casino Games & Slot Machines
Mr Play has only been online since 2017, so it’s one of the newer casinos on the market. Having said that, it’s part of the Aspire global casino group, so it’s not some fly-by-night operation. Having made sure of that, let’s twirl our ‘tache and get looking at the gaming offering here.
The first thing to note is that this is not a big casino, game quantity-wise. There are only 350 games in total across the whole site. But great news for slot fans like me, just over 300 of those are video slots. Woohoo! And they have put together a great bunch of them, with new titles being added very regularly.
There’s a range of game providers here, and you’ll see some movie and other franchise tie-ins, including slots like “ted” and “The Goonies”, as well as well known feature slot games like Spinate Grande, Starburst and Twin Spin. Everything is “upfront” on the home screen, so scrolling through the games is easy-peasy. If you have a favourite, there’s a handy search bar for you, or you can display the video slots by type – including featured, new, and classics. There are actually, even more, display options available, but you have to scroll all the way down and use the menu at the bottom of the screen. If you do, you can select further options like “progressive jackpots”, “popular” and more specific game types.
Talking of progressive jackpots, you’ll only find 20 at the moment, but at least half of those have been newly added, so it bodes well for the future that they are bringing on new games all the time.
Using the search tabs at the top also makes it easy to pick out their small but well-groomed range of traditional casino games. Unusually they lump together live and offline versions, but here you’ll find a few offline examples of each of roulette, blackjack and baccarat. There is only a handful of these, so I can’t really recommend Mr Play to anyone who’s a massive fan of traditional table games – there simply isn’t enough here to keep you guys interested.
So what’s the conclusion? Well, after stroking my moustache for a while I think it’s good if small, offering. Certainly, the video slots are high quality and there’s a good number of them, but if you fancy a break from those and want some more traditional casino action then you might be a little disappointed. However, one thing they do offer is a dedicated scratchcard section. Again, there’s not much here, but these games are fun, quick and easy to play, so can be a good “quick flutter” option if you’re just passing through.
Mr Play Live Casino
There’s no doubt that live table games are probably squeezing out the traditional offline types in the popularity stakes. And it’s not hard to see why – it’s great fun to have a real dealer interact with you and your virtual table-mates and makes your gaming session more sociable.
Mr Play have dipped their toe (if not their moustache) into the Live gaming waters by offering 25 live tables. There’s a dedicated “live casino” button on the homepage that will take you straight to the goodies, so it’s easy to find them. At the time of writing, you can play 12 blackjack tables, 8 roulette tables, a couple of baccarat tables, and the very popular “game show” like Dream Catcher game. This is really good for casino newbies – it’s great fun, not at all threatening, and easy to understand and play.
There’s not a lot else to say about the Mr Play live casino – it works well, there are no technical issues, and all the games are good quality. There’s the limited choice for the hardcore fans, but the seamless way you can jump from their live games to other offline tables or slots is a slick experience. So slick, I wonder if they used moustache wax?
Mr Play Mobile Experience
Even an old and hirsute gambler like me has a smartphone – let’s face it, we all do. And sometimes it’s nice to have a flutter on your favourite casino when you’re on the bus, or waiting in a queue (I’m British, I like queues), or in the bath (don’t judge me). It can, therefore, be very frustrating if your favourite casino works great in the browser and then is useless on mobile.
Well, I’m pleased to say that Mr Play have certainly got it right when it comes to mobile. It’s seamless. No special app to download, no different look to the mobile site. Just go to the homepage on your phone browser and carry on where you left off. I was a little concerned at first because the Mr Play desktop site loads up with all sorts of spinny, twiddly, CSS voodoo. I needn’t have been worried. When trying the site on my android phone and a mate’s iPhone it was a silky smooth experience. Well done, my moustachioed friends, well done.
Mr Play Bonus & Free Spins
So here’s where things get interesting, and where I think everyone should sign up at Mr Play even if you’re disappointed at the lack of traditional table games. We all lack a matched deposit, don’t we? Well, how about a really good match?! That’s right, I’ve managed to blag a 100% deposit bonus AND 100 free spins.
I know… let me reassure you that’s not a typo – a 100% matched deposit bonus plus 100 free spins at Mr Play! All you have to do is click on our special link through to the casino, sign up an account, deposit a minimum of £20 and you’ll get the bonus. What’s more, the bonus caps out at an impressive £200. That means if you deposit just £250 you’ll get a further £200 credited to your account plus 100 free spins. What’s more, Mr Play wagering requirement is only 35x, so it’s definitely worth taking a crack at some of their big jackpot games with this offer. Read full T&C’s here.
This is one of the most generous offers I’ve managed to win for you yet, so make sure you take advantage by signing up using our special link now!
Mr Play Support
You know me, and you know that I rate customer support as one of the most important factors in judging any casino. And it’s about quality, not just quantity if you know what I mean.
Mr Play states straight away in their Help section that they follow the CARE principle – Customers Are Really Everything. That’s good to know, but does the support package live up to this?
First off, the help section is really very helpful. Not only do they outline all the ways to deposit and withdraw, how to open an account, and so on, but they list out Rules and Procedures for every single game on their site. Every single one! Game description, how to play, pay tables, buttons… everything. This is a really impressive effort and they deserve an extra moustache waxing for this.
There are some things that computers still can’t do for us, so for anything, the FAQ and Help section doesn’t cover there is human support available 7 days a week. Sadly it’s not 24/7, but it is 8 am to 1 am Central European Time (so minus 1 hour for UK). This isn’t bad, but I would have liked to see that pushed an extra hour later for us British types… sometimes you might want to gamble after midnight (despite the warning from that film Gremlins). Support is only available via live chat, so no phone number to call. Nevertheless, when I tried it a few times the operator picked up very quickly, and the chat system works just as well on mobile – although typing your query on a screen with thick fingers was not a quick exercise!
Ready to deposit cash and take advantage of our 200% deposit bonus? Well, pretty much every method you can think of is covered. Credit and debit cards (Mastercard and VISA), bank transfer, Neteller, and more. Sadly there’s no Paypal option, but given that most of us will use cards it’s not too much of a problem. When it comes to extracting your lovely winnings, same deal applies, and the payout times are very much industry-standard – 24 hours to process then 1 to 3 business days to deposit, depending on the method. Again, the lovely help and FAQ section steps you through it all.
So overall I think this is a well-groomed little casino. A great range of quality slots helps to gloss over the lack of traditional table games, there’s a nice live casino section, scratch cards for a bit of fun, and a really solid help and FAQ section, and unfussy payment and cash out options. When you add in the 200% bonus I’ve sorted for you, Mr Playshould certainly makes your ‘tache twitch!
