Hello again, it’s Dave and this time I’m going to spill the BEANS on a fairytale themed slot… Ok, sorry about that! Yes, it’s a Jack and the Beanstalk video slot we’re looking at this time. This one has some great betting features and 20 paylines with some nice wildcards to give you more payout opportunities.

This one is a cut above the rest thanks to a tasty free spin round, and although it doesn’t have a progressive jackpot it’s generous pay table makes it definitely worth a look for those who want to play for real cash. It’s great for beginners and casual players as you can play with coin values from €0.01 to €0.50, and there’s a max bet of 100 coins.

About the Jack and the Beanstalk Slot Machine

I really like the art style and graphics on this one, and everything about the playing screen is really nicely drawn and fits the theme perfectly. The play symbols are all really nicely drawn, and when you get a winning line they animate, coming out of the reels and looking really 3D – nice! The beautifuly drawn symbols include giants (of course), axes, chests full of treasure and, for some reason, goats. I’m pretty sure in the original story Jack traded in his mother’s cow for magic beans, didn’t he? Maybe it was a goat… my memory isn’t what it used to be.

Important Symbols

One GIANT feature with Jack and the Beanstalk (there I go again) is that the wildcard symbols inthis game are what is known as “walking wilds”. That means that whenever one makes an appearance there’s a re-spin. This wildcard can take over any of the other symbols and any payouts you get courtesy of the wild pay out triple!

The other ones to keep an eye out for are the treasure chests which are this game’s scatter elements. Get just two or more of these and they pay out straight away. Chests also unlock the excellent free-spin round.

Payout Table and Win Potential

With Jack and the Beanstalk all the winning payouts are from the pay table that’s shown in the information section of the game, with the top prize being 30,000 coins. Of course the cool wild card treasure chests and free spin bonus can add up to some great extra rewards if you’re lucky.

Jack and the Beanstalk Bonus Features

So, the free spin bonus round is the great result you want to get here. If you see 3 or more chests in one spin this cool bonus round will start. You get a really very generous 10 free goes, and if you get more bonus symbols you’ll get a further five spins added. Fee Fi Fo Fum!

During this bonus play there’s a special fifth reel on the screen which has special keys for you to collect. If you manage to get 3 of these the game will convert your “walking wildcards” into stacked ones. If you get 6 then out comes “the Goose that Laid the Golden Eggs” – well, 3 pictures of her that stack to replace the “walking wildcards”. Finally, if you get 9 keys you’ll see the geese turn into magical harps and that’s where you can earn some really good payouts. See, it’s all just like the fairy tale!

Game Settings and How To Play Jack and the Beanstalk

No surprises here. First, choose how much you want to wager by picking the coin value and number of coins you’re ready to play with on the paylines of your choice. Then you just hit the “Spin” button and watch out for winning combinations or bonus awards. Any winning lines or bonuses will get credited to your balance automatically. Although this game looks a little complicated because of the large number of symbols on screen it’s really easy to play and I find this one a nice relaxing game, but the excitement builds in that free spin bonus game!

There are lots of changes you can make to the game such as volume levels, how much background noise to hear, select some hot keys, trim down the animations for a speedier playing experience, and so on. You’ve also got the automatic play option if you’re feeling extra lazy.

Overall this is a great looking game with a cool theme around a familiar story. If you haven’t played it, you don’t know what you’ve BEAN missing… sorry about that!

Cheers,

Dave
